Welcome to becoming a well-oiled Sustainable Family Machine! Together, we will navigate all of the many, many ways that you can help be more mindful of your impacts on the Earth and your community and have fun in the process. In this class, we will be Starting Simple.
In the first part of the class, we will speak about what sustainable development is and apply it to the family unit as a community. Topics include Voluntary Simplicity, your individual ecological footprint and other first steps to making your family more mindful of their responsibility to care for the Earth.
During the second part, we will be working together to make cleaning products from everyday houshold items. Participants will vote on which 2 of 10 or so products they would like to make and will be able to take home their creations. Also, a packet of recipes of many products will be distributed. All ingrediants will be provided but each participant is required to bring:
1 clean, spray bottle, preferably 10 oz or smaller
AND
1 clean, lidded container, pint or smaller
